Overview:

San Franciscans for Municipal Fiber (“SFMF”) will be the leading community voice to provide input, feedback, and guidance to San Francisco City leaders on the City’s vision and goal to deliver affordable and fast Internet to every resident and business in San Francisco.

Purpose:

SFMF is an advisory group convened for the purpose of communicating and providing an assessment of what San Francisco’s diverse community’s needs, priorities, and values are in constructing a municipal fiber network to deliver fast and affordable Internet to every San Francisco resident and business.

Statement of Work:

Starting in February 2017, the Coalition will meet over a period of three months to work with City leaders and SFMF members to establish the priorities and values that the community deserves to receive out of a citywide municipal broadband network. SFMF and its subgroups will assess, identify, and prioritize the needs of the each affected community and communicate those needs to City leaders and staff who will be charged with ultimately designing and building San Francisco’s municipal fiber network.
